
Meet the Therapist
Dr. M.D. Witt is a board-certified clinical hypnotherapist and alumnus of the New England Institute of Hypnotherapy with 20 years of experience practicing in the USA and abroad.
He holds a doctorate in developmental psychology with a specialization in adult learning, with undergraduate and graduate studies in the USA and Europe in psychology, psycholinguistics, and neurolinguistic programming.
A US Army veteran, he has taught educational psychology at American and foreign universities and has served as a post-doctoral fellow in psychometric research at institutes of the US Defense Department. In addition, he was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (Cambridge, UK) for his work in the psychology of language learning. Dr. Witt has researched hypnotherapy for several years and is a frequent guest lecturer along with being the Director of the Southwest Hypnotherapy Institute.
He is married with two children in medical studies and his wife, Sara Pulath-Witt, a graduate of the Amala Medical Institute of Kerala, India, assists in the management of SHC. Together, they strive to bring together the best of US, European, and Asian hypnotherapy practice.
Clients sometimes ask what type of hypnotherapy is practiced at SHC. While it is a somewhat technical question, the approach of the late, great therapist, Milton Erickson, MD, has influenced Dr. Witt, as it has leading practitioners throughout the world.
